Itinerary

Day 1:

Departing on AC 80 from Toronto @ 4:35 pm, overnight to Tel Aviv (optional).

*If you are making your own travel arrangements, please arrive in Israel to join the group in Tel Aviv on Monday, November 11!

Day 2:

Welcome to Israel!

Upon arrival in Tel Aviv, you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel.

Dinner and overnight in Tel Aviv at the Dan Panorama Hotel Tel Aviv.

Please note: Arrival transfer will be available for the group arriving on the direct flight AC 80, all other arrivals will have to purchase their transfer.

Day 3:

After breakfast start your day with a visit to Ben-Gurion House, a historic museum in Tel Aviv, which served as the family home of pre-State Zionist leader and then first Prime Minister of Israel, David Ben-Gurion. Continue to the ANU Museum which explores the Jewish story through culture, art, history and education. Next visit The Israeli Innovation Center at the Peres Center for Peace & Innovation which is the first and largest visitor center of its kind. End your day at Kikar Hahatufim (Hostage Square) outside of the Tel Aviv Art Museum. The square has been set up as a gathering place for families of hostages and draw hundreds of visitors daily.

Day 4:

After breakfast at the hotel you will have a full day of volunteering.

Day 5:

After breakfast you will start your day with a visit to the region surrounding the Gaza Strip were the October 7th Hamas massacre took place. You will visit Sderot, the location of the Nova Musical Festival, kibbutz Be’eri or kibbutz Nir Oz, and end the day in Jerusalem.

Day 6:

After breakfast, a visit to Mount Herzel (nilitary cemetery) and Hechal Hashemot (The Hall of Names), continue to Friends of Zion, and then Nachlaot, a historic neighborhood in Jerusalem. Continue to Machane Yehuda market and return to your hotel.

Day 7:

After breakfast spend the day at leisure in Jerusalem.

Day 8:

After breakfast start your day with a visit to Yad Vashem (Holocaust museum), continue to Mount Zion where you will visit the incredible thousand-year-old building housing the Tomb of King David. Journey into the Old City through the Jewish Quarter stopping at Roman Cardo, the four “hidden” Sephardic synagogues that were built under Muslim rule and the Kotel Tunnels, housed beneath the city along the Western Wall. The presentation at the Davidson Center will give a taste of how the city has changed from the Second Temple period to the present day. Head out through Jaffa Gate passing the colourful Arab bazaar and visit the Tower of David Museum to see the ancient remains from the First Temple period.

Day 9:

After breakfast, you will have a full day of volunteering.

Day 10:

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.

Departing on AC 81 from Tel Aviv @ 11:55 am, to Toronto (optional).

Please note: Arrival transfer will be available for the group departing on the direct flight AC 81, all other departures will have to purchase their transfer.
